STORIE, JOHN - The death of John Storie of Hampton, husband of the late of Jean (Allison) Storie occurred June 16, 2004 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. He was born at Dailly, Scotland, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Shaw) Storie. John retired as Post Master of the British Post Office where he worked for forty four years. He came to Canada in 1977. John was a Life Member of Hammond River Angling Association where his passion was fishing. He was a member of Hampton United Church where he served as elder and trustee, Hampton Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Andrews Society and past member of Hampton Curling Club. He is survived by one daughter Isobel Gilmour (Sam) of Hampton, two grandchildren Samantha Howe (Greg) and Callum Gilmour of Hampton; two great grandchildren Melissa and Emily Howe, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Monday, 2:30pm, at Hampton United Church with Rev. Keith Lyons officiating. Interment in Greenock Cemetery, Scotland. Memorials may be made to Dr. V.A. Snow Foundation, Hampton United Church, Kidney Foundation or donor's choice. Visiting 2-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday.
