Alex "Scotty" McCulloch OXFORD - Alex "Scotty" McCulloch, age 77, of Oxford and formerly of Sauchie, Scotland, passed away peacefully in the Cumberland regional Health care Centre, Upper Nappan, on wednesday, August 8, 2007, with his wife and daughter Lisa by his side. Alex was born in Sauchie, Scotland, and moved to Quebec with his family in 1957. He worked in the farming industry for 12 years, following this he was employed as a press operator with Poly Cello in Cowansville Qubec. He was transferred to Nova Scotia in 1984 where he continued to work with Poly Cello in Amherst, having worked both location for a total of 30 years. Having been involved in soccer since the age of 17 following his retirement soccer took over!!! Everyone knew him as the "Scotsman Soccer Fanatic." Nobody loved the gane more. He also accomplished his dream to be the lead drum major in the Nova Scotia Tattoo. He is surviced by his wife of 23 years Michelene "Mickey" Perreault also children and close family Hazel and Phil of Quebec, Jan and David of Vermont, Tommy and Melanie of Scotland and Quebec, Lisa and Brad of Oxford and Fredericton, Janet and Derek of Scotland, and Frances and John of Scotland aslo a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. He was predeceased by a son Glenn. Cremation has taken place at the request of the deceased. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at The Church of the Nazarene, Lower Main Street, Oxford, on Sunday, August 12, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bob Barnes officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bert Collins. Donations may be made to The Church of the Nazarene Oxford Memorial Fund, the Cumbeland County Hospice Palliative Care Society, P.O. Box 1035, Amherst, Cumb. Co., N.S. B4H 4E2, The Oxford Youth Soccer Club or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen's Funerla Home, 60 Water St., Oxford.
