LEE ANNE. NICHOLSON

NICHOLSON, LEE ANNE. - (February 6th , 1955 - June 25th, 2004). Peacefully at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital after a long, courageous and defiant battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Paul Joseph and Marion Horgan Nicholson; mourned by her brother Corey and his wife Kathy; and her brother Jay and his wife Vicky; dearly missed by her nieces Emily, Tara, Bronwen, Alex and Robin, as well as her many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Florida, New Brunswick, California and British Columbia. Lee Anne attended le Couvent de Valleyfield; Trafalgar School for Girls (Montreal); Bishop Strachan School (Toronto) and spent many wonderful summers as a camp counselor at Camp Ouareau in St-Donat, Quebec. She received her B.A. from York University's Glendon College; her M.A. in French from the University of Illinois; and her M.B.A. from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. A long time employee of TV Guide and Telemedia, jobs that she loved but had to leave after her first successful bout with the disease, Lee Anne spent the last five active years of her life as the primary caregiver for her ailing parents. Always generous, and endlessly giving, she never shied away from what she viewed as her responsibilities. She delighted most especially in the company of her nieces, always fascinated by their personalities, their original ways of thinking and their boundless humour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lee Anne's memory to the Camp Ouareau fund for underprivileged children: The Dorothy Percival Campership Fund, c/o Camp Ouareau , 2494 Route 125 Sud, St-Donat Quebec. J0T 2C0. Special thanks to the staff at the Bridgepoint Heath Centre (Riverdale), and Mount Sinai Hospital for their nurturing and supportive care. Friends may call at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, just East of Avenue Road from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 28th. Funeral Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. June 29th at ST. MONICA'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 44 Broadway Avenue, 3 blocks North and East of Yonge & Eglinton.
