BRIGGS, MARGARET M. - The death of Margaret M. Briggs (nee Kelly) of 10 McLeod Street, Saint John, wife of the late William F. Briggs, occurred on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late J. Vincent and Barbara (Munfod) Kelly. Margaret lived in Saint John all of her life and had retired from Fundy Linen in 1980. Margaret loved her family above all and was a good friend to all. She is survived by daughters, Marie Edison (Ron) and Ann Harned (Ed), both of Saint John, two grandchildren, Beth Murphy (Ian) and Chris Edison, one great grandchild, Patryc Murphy, special cousin, Mary Jarvis, as well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John and sisters, Marion and Edith. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
