FRASER, DOREEN JANE - The passing of Doreen Jane Fraser of Fredericton occurred on July 3rd, 2004 at her residence. She was 82. Born in Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie (Underhill) Hambrook. A member of the Gibson United Memorial Church, she was active in municipal, provincial and federal politics and a founding member of the English speaking association of NB in the Confederation of Regions Party of NB (COR) and Progressive Conservative Party and was a UCW member. Surviving are three sons; Aulton (Wilma) Fraser of Fredericton, Garry Fraser of Brampton Ontario, Colby (Nancy) Fraser of Grand Bay/ Westfield, one daughter Janet (Peter) Saad of Olds, Alberta, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, two brothers, Holley and Burton, and three sisters Helen, Hazel and Rhoda Visitation will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7th from 2-4, & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Gibson United Memorial Church on Thursday, July 8th at 2PM with Rev Robert Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the Sunny Bank Cemetery.
