FAROUK-EGLEN, DAVID NESSIM - The death of David Nessim Farouk-Eglen, son of Carol MacDonald, occurred on July 14, 2004 at the Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, ON. David was born on September 28, 1973 in Saint John, New Brunswick. He was educated in British Columbia and New York, having graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY. He practiced his trade as a restaurateur in Hong Kong, Sydney, Australia, Victoria, Vancouver and most recently in Barbados. David attracted attention due to his appearance and dedication to physical fitness; however, all who knew him cherished him for his generosity, his considerate nature and charisma. He made an impact on all the people whose lives he touched. Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister Meezan Eglen, his son Brandon, his grandfather Douglas MacDonald of Bayswater, NB, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father Percy Eglen. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-5 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2004, at 1:00 PM from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at the Bayswater Cedar Hill Cemetery.
