Audrey Stiles AMHERST - The death of Audrey Stiles, age 86, of Amherst, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Friday, August 24, 2007. Born in Boston, Mass.,USA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Mitchell) Tucker. Audrey was a member of the Trinity-St. Stephens United Church, Amherst. She and her husband, Silas operated a mixed market garden farm on the Tyndal Road, until his death in 1999. Audrey will be sadly missed by her 4 daughters, Joan (Maynard) Carter, East Amherst, Marjorie (Albert) Cuvilier, Dartmouth, June (Charles) Weeks, Port Howe and Doreen (Brian) Seaman, Lake Killarney; 2 sons, Silas (Myrna Hicks), Midgic, NB and Percy (Christine), Tyndal Rd.; a sister Lila Milner, Amherst; 16 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Silas, infant son, Ronald, sister Eileen Moores and brothers Roy and Kenneth. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (667-8777) with visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Furlong Jones Chapel on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 2 pm, Rev. Susan Estabrooks officiating. Burial in the Amherst Cemetery at a later date.
