JOHNSTON, WILLIAM GEORGE (BILL, BILLY) - William George Johnston passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home (Victoria, BC) on July 9, 2004. He passed away in the arms of his life partner Ruby. Born on March 15, 1948 and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Bill is survived by his mother Lillian of Marmora, Ont; predeceased by his father Alfred. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Billie Stephens and son Shane of Saint John, NB; his wife Ruby and his "ditter" Susan of Victoria, BC; brother Alfred of Mississauga, Ont; sister Marie Gordon of Whitby, Ont; sister Debbie Black of Grand Falls, Nfld; grandson Ryan; granddaughters Riley, Daniella, and Ashleigh; and several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. The service was held at the First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Road, Victoria, BC on Wednesday, July 14.
