HELEN ELIZABETH (DRISCOLL) McKAY
McKAY, HELEN ELIZABETH (DRISCOLL) - 1908-2004. Helen E. McKay passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Oromocto Public Hospital on July 24, 2004, at the age of 96. Born in Saint John, where she lived most of her life, she is the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Mannette) Driscoll, wife of the late Frank McKay, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Helen has lived in the Village of Gagetown for the past twelve years and had enjoyed a long and happy life with her beloved family. Her spirits were always high and her love of life and family will be sadly missed by all. Helen is survived by her sons George (Barb), Saint John, NB, and Robert (Nancy), Woodmans Point, NB, daughters Joan (Alyre) Bizzeau and Marion (William) Milne, both of Saint John, NB; and daughter Margaret (Ross) Wetmore, Gagetown, NB; her many grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband Frank in 1975, Helen was also predeceased by her brother Wes Driscoll and her sisters Annie Parker, Pearl Shaw, Grace Goodwin, Margaret Haggerty and in infancy, Phyllis. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701) with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in "Fallsview" Chapel on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment immediately following the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or the charity of donor's choice.
