CULLEN, MARY VERONICA "VERONA" - Mary Veronica "Verona" Cullen of Saint John, NB went Home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 3, 2004. Wife of the late Richard M. Cullen, she was born in Tilley, NB, a daughter of the late Cosmas and Estella (McQuade) Brayall. Verona was a past member of the Legion of Mary and an active C.W.L. member in her earlier days at her home church in Tilley. She loved family gatherings and the chance to socialize with her brothers and sisters. Verona's passion was Auction 45's and her great sense of humour and positive outlook on life will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Ronald Cullen, Saint John, NB and Murray (Beth) Cullen, Hampton, NB; daughter Anna (David) Washburn, Wirral, NB; sisters Maxine Lewis, Barbara (Wilfred) Lennon and Virginia Albert, all of Perth Andover, NB; grandchildren Travis, Tyson, Tyler, Trent, Christopher and Jonathan; great grandson Brandon; many nieces and nephews and her special feline companion "Slim". In addition to her husband and parents, Verona was also predeceased by her brothers Sherman, L. Grover, and Raymond Brayall and her sisters Pauline Goodine, Mazie McNamee and Glenna Donnelly. Arrangements entrusted to Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (634-1701) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 6, 2004 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at a time to be announced. A reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Center on Lancaster Avenue immediately following the service. Private family interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Verona's memory made to the Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated by the family.
