David Lorne Herrett Wyndham Hill - David Lorne Herrett - 82, Wyndham Hill, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Wyndham Hill, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Cotton) Herrett. David worked in the woods, in both the logging and saw mill industries. While living in B.C., he worked for B.C. Rail for a number of years. Upon returning home, he was employed with Star Insulators. Throughout his life, David liked being outdoors and working in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, treasure hunting and being with his family. David and his wife have been active members of the Church of the Nazarene in Oxford. He is survived by his wife, the former Willena Allen; sons, Lorne (Terri), Williams Lake, B.C.; Stephen (Margaret), Hansford; Andrew, Kamloops, B.C.; daughter, Jane (John) Roblee, Hansford; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Rosco and Roger; a sister in infancy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, Oxford (447-2930). Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, with funeral service at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 9, all in the Church of the Nazarene, Oxford, with Pastor Bob Barnes officiating.
