July 7, 2008 - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Howard Clarence Langdon announces his passing at his home in Botwood on July 7, 2008, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his parents, Chesley and Mabel Langdon; brothers: Alan, Ray, Ward, Roy, Harvey and Ron; sister Mildred Elliott. Left to mourn with fond loving memories are his wife Lizzie (nee Thorne); daughter Vina of Botwood; son Don (Bernice); granddaughters: Nicole (Brad Jones) and Jackie of Mount Pearl; sisters: Rowena Siteman of Dartmouth, NS and June (Ross Stone) of Britannia, NL; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Visitation will take place from Botwood Funeral Home from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 and from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. The funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Botwood, NL on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the community cemetery Botwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one's choice.
