VALLIS, D. JEAN - July 20, 2004, Dorothy Jean Vallis passed away at her residence in the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB. Born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan she is the daughter of the late Leon C. & Laura B. (Stiles) Vallis. Jean was a registered nurse and spent many years working at the DVA Hospital in West Saint John, where she was highly regarded by the veterans. Jean is survived by her sister Peggy Meier of Saint John West, nephew Paul (Elizabeth) Meier of Bedford, NS., nephew Mark (Pam) Meier of Quispamsis, NB., niece Pam Howes Siekierski of Ottawa, ON., nephew Chipman (Barbara) Vallis of Toronto, ON., nephew Brian (Janine) Vallis of St. John's, NF. By Jean's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) on Wednesday, September 1st, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by Jean's family.
