WILLIAM "BILL" G. SARGESON
SARGESON, WILLIAM "BILL" G. - The passing of William "Bill" G. Sargeson of Burtt's Corner, husband of the late Charlotte Mary (Gillam) Sargeson, occurred Thursday, September 2, 2004 peacefully in his sleep at home. He was 80. Born in Saint John NB Bill was a son of the late William Gordon Sargeson and Annie M. Fisher. Mr. Sargeson was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Zealand. He retired in 1984 from the Emergency Measures Organization. Bill was past president of 252 Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force Association, Honorary Life Member of 403 (Helicopter) Operational Training Squadron, CFB Gagetown and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. Predeceased by his wife Charlotte, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Staples (Earl) of Fredericton and Joanne Lucas (Jack) of Sussex; two sons, Gordon Sargeson (Janet) and Terry Sargeson (Ginny) all of Burtt's Corner; nine grandchildren, David Staples, Anne Marie Wright, Donna Walker, Andrica Hawkins, Melissa Sargeson, Gregory Sargeson, Ashlee Sargeson, Kristina Lucas and Michael Lucas; eight great grandchildren, Melanie, Rebecca and Charlotte Wright, Kristen Walker, Sean and Scott Staples, Klaryssa and Camden Hawkins; one sister, Elizabeth Moore of Welsford; three brothers, Douglas Sargeson of Saint John, Allan Fox of Zealand and George Fox of Barrie ON; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4th, from 7 to 9 PM at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. A legion tribute service will be held there at 7 PM Saturday, September 4th. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 5th, 2004 at 2 PM from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand, NB with Father Anthony Akawa officiating. A private interment will take place at the Rothesay Baptist Cemetery on Sunday. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzhiemer's Society of New Brunswick, to the Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
