MAWHINNEY, HAROLD T. - On Tuesday September 14, 2004 Harold T. Mawhinney, husband of Edna P. (Patterson) Mawhinney, passed away at his residence in Maces Bay, NB. Son of the late Leonard and Carrie (Small) Mawhinney, he was born in Welch Cove, NB, July 7, 1922. He was a life long resident of Maces Bay and a fisherman all his life. Harold was a very active, lifelong member of Maces Bay United Baptist Church as well as a Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon. In addition to his wife Edna, Harold is also survived by his only son Bev (Eileen) Mawhinney of Maces Bay, NB, sister Isabelle McKay of St. Andrews, NB, and his grandchildren Margaret, Michael, Evan and Halley. Besides his parents, Harold was also predeceased by his brothers Ellis, George, Malcolm and in infancy, Burton. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September, 17, 2004 at 1 pm from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in the Maces Bay Cemetery with reception to follow in Maces Bay Seniors Hall.
