THORNE, HAZEL E. - The death of Hazel Evelyn Thorne of Big Cove, Queens Co., NB, formerly of 19 Newman Street, Saint John, occurred on Monday, September 27, 2004 at her residence. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Jessie May (Foster) Thorne. Miss Thorne was employed for many years with Brooke-Bond Tea Factory before her retirement. She is survived by two brothers, John Thorne of the Cambridge-Narrows and Wilmot Thorne of Sussex, one sister, Helen Thorne, of the Cambridge-Narrows, two nephews, Ken Thorne (Linda) of Toronto, ON and John Thorne (Cindy) of Saint John, two nieces, Linda Lee (Edward) of the Cambridge-Narrows and Carol Lee (Robert) of Saint John, ten great nieces and nephews, 18 great great nieces and nephews and one great great great nephew. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Roy Thorne. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
