JEAN CURRIE
CURRIE, JEAN - Jean Currie , 81, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday September 29, 2004 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Woodstock she was a daughter of the late William T. and Maude (Gentle) Ashe. A homemaker in her earlier working years she was employed with NB Tel first as a switch board operator and later supervisor in Woodstock. She was a member of the Salisbury United Church of Canada, a member of the Brunswick Rebekah Lodge No. 44, Woodstock and was a former volunteer with meals to seniors from the Jordan Home. Survived by her devoted daughter Kimberly Leffley (Terry) and cherished granddaughters Kristen and Holly of Salisbury and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband Arthur (2003), daughter Linda Lee (1972), sisters Edna, Eileen, Jenny and a brother George. The family will receive visitors at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 4 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kathleen Zwicker officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
