BERNARD (BERNIE) ROY JUSTASON

JUSTASON, BERNARD (BERNIE) ROY - It is with great sadness the family of Bernard Justason announce his passing on Monday September 27, 2004 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. after a lengthy illness. Born at Pennfield Ridge N.B. on August 11, 1924. He was the son of the late Harold Roy and Florence Pearl (Hawkins) Justason. Survived by his wife Helen (Landry), two sons Eric and Gary both of Ottawa, ON, three daughters Diane of Toronto, ON, Brenda Hunter (William) of Nanaimo, B.C., Nancy of South Slocan, B.C., three granddaughters Nicole, Denise and Kelly, two sisters Lois Southard and Audrey Collet both of St. George, N.B., sister-in-law Mary (Nickerson) Justason of St. George, N.B. Predeceased by his brother Ronald Justason. A veteran of World War II, Bernard graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from The University of New Brunswick in 1949. He worked as a surveyor for the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources in Ottawa until his retirement in 1980. Bernard then began a Land Surveying business in Cap-Pele, N.B. until moving to St. Stephen, N.B. in 1996. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed walking, prospecting and daily visits to the gym. There will be no funeral service held by request. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. S.O.
