THORNTON, ALVENA - Alvena Thornton of Campobello Lodge, died peacefully on October 5, 2004. She was born in Campobello, NB and was the daughter of the late Edgar and Dora Newman and wife of the late Howard Thornton. She is survived by three sons; Donald, Burnham and Larry Mathews, two daughters; Dora Matheson and Betty Cline, one sister Vera Mathews and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Following cremation a memorial service will be held Friday at 3 pm at the North Road Baptist Church followed by burial in Head Harbour Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to A.W.
