SMALL, ROWENA MARGARET - Rowena Margaret Small, 80, of White Head, Grand Manan, passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Friday evening, October 15th, after a lengthy illness. Born in Tiverton, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Woodworth. Mrs. Small was a loving mother, homemaker, and member of the White Head Baptist Church, a member of the Ladies Missionary Society, the Sunday School, as well as the Church Choir. Mrs. Small is survived by her daughter Pamela Carroll and her fiancé David Olsen of Grand Manan, one grandson Darrin Carroll of White Head, two great grandsons Alexander and William Carroll, one brother James Woodworth (Glenda) of Fox Creek, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Small was predeceased by her husband Francis and one brother Harold Woodworth of White Head, N.B. The family received friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Saturday, 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m., and then on Sunday at the White Head Baptist Church 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18th, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Appleby officiating, interment to follow in the family plot, White Head Community Cemetery. Donations to the White Head Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to the White Head Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
