CALKIN, ANDREW - Andrew Calkin (B.ED 1992, UNB) passed away suddenly in an automobile accident near Hampton, N.B on Saturday afternoon October 16, 2004. Andy was a school teacher at Hampton High and had taught previously in Grand Falls and Petitcodiac. Andy's love for children was uniquely expressed in his joy and passion for teaching. He is survived by his mother Edie, brothers Dave and Rob, and sister Cindy. He also leaves behind his uncle Bob (and Mernie) Hoar (Musquodoboit Harbour), grand-mother Dell Hoar (Saint John) and nephews Matthew and Kevin (Toronto). Following cremation a last visitation will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), Saint John, on Wednesday October 20, 2004 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. An annual scholarship will be established to support deserving students at Hampton High and to keep Andy's memory alive.
