ABBIS, JUDGE CHAIKER - At the Foyer St-Joseph Nursing Home in Saint Basile, NB on October 19, 2004, at 92 years and 11 months, Judge Chaiker Abbis of 8-19th Avenue, Edmundston, NB passed away. He was the husband of Mrs. Lottie Landry and the son of the late Michael Abbis and the late Mary Farrah. He was predeceased by a sister Eva and two brothers Edmond and Eugene. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Claire Abbis-MacDavid (late Edmond) from Campbell River, BC; Ghislaine Abbis (late Eugene) from Edmundston and nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Immaculate Conception's Cathedral, Edmundston, NB. Visiting hours will be from 7pm to 9pm on Friday and 9am to 11am on Saturday. He will be resting at J.B. Côté & Son Ltd. Funeral Home at 160 Church Street, Edmundston, NB. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
