STEEN, BLANCHE MAE - The death of Mrs. Blanche Mae Steen, age 83, wife of William Allan Steen, occurred on Sunday October 24, 2004, at her residence in Breadalbane, NB. Born in Lubec, Maine, on December 8, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Maxwell Percy and Charlotte Lottie (Patterson) Wilcox. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband William, a son Russell (Olive) of Breadalbane, NB, a daughter Sheila McCourt (David) of Arden, ON, three grandchildren, Patrick McCourt, Julie Morrison (Colin), and Diane Scharfenberg, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her daughter Ellen Scharfenberg, two sisters Alberta Lane, and Lena Donohue, two brothers Irvin Wilcox and Max Wilcox. Blanche was a member of the St. George Baptist Church. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Monday October 25, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home on October 26, 2004 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Charles Yerxa officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery.
