RODEN V. COLLINS

COLLINS, RODEN V. - Roden Collins passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 82 on Wednesday October 27th, 2004. Born in Saint John, NB on May 17th, 1922. Roden is survived by his loving wife; Agnes (Morrison) Collins. He was the son of the late John and Alice (VanWart) Collins. Besides his wife, Roden is survived by five sons; Robert (Joan), David, Kenneth (Annette), Gary (Sahasta), and Mark (Donna), one daughter, Victoria (John) Mills of Quispamsis, one sister; Kathleen Collins of Saint John, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Roden was predeceased by two brothers; Gordon, and Donald, three sisters; Eleanor Robinson, Marguarte Callan, and Ruth Allen. Roden served in WWII with the Royal Canadian Air Force and belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #58. Roden was also a member of the Rothesay Baptist Church Choir and enjoyed bowling, working in his garden, was a Mason in Hampton and was a former curler at the Hampton rink. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 30th, 2004 from the Rothesay Baptist Church.
