PHILIP E. CONNORS

CONNORS, PHILIP E. - Of Duke Street South, died peacefully on Wednesday October 27, 2004 at the SJRH. He was born in Saint John and was the son of the late John and Annie (Butler) Connors and husband of Betty Connors (Doyle). Philip was employed as a Route Salesman and Driver for Imperial Oil for 36 years until his retirement. He was a life long member of St. John the Baptist Church, a member of the ADANAC Club, a member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Association and a member of the Knights of Columbus (4th degree-Council number 937). In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael Connors; two brothers, J. Arthur Connors and Lewis Connors (Edna); four sisters, Pauline McDade, Mary Voorhees (William), Rose McMillan (William), Eleanor Connors; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one daughter Mary Anne; two brothers, Charles and Gerard; and one sister Rita. Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Knights of Columbus Council 937 will gather for prayers at the funeral home on Friday at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 10:00am from St. John the Baptist Church followed by interment in St Joseph's Cemetery.
