POIRIER, GERALDA MARIE - The death of Geralda Marie, wife of the late Alphonse J. Poirier, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday October 29th, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18th, 1930 in Portage River, NB. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Richard and Marguerite (St. Pierre) Godin. Geralda is survived by five children; Dianne Parlee of Quispamsis, Nancy (Normand) Savoie of Bathurst, Karen Poirier of Saint John, Michelle Poirier of Saint John and Danny Godin also of Saint John, five grandchildren, Thomas Parlee, Monique Savoie, Marc Savoie, Mathieu Savoie, and Stephen Poirier, one sister; Norma (Harold) Dibblee of Fredericton, and a brother, Arthur (Irene) Godin of Miramichi, special sisters-in-law; Marguerite Godin, Leona McGraw, Corinne Landry, Alice Duguay, and Regina Thibodeau and a special friend, Martha McGraw and several nieces, nephews, and by her dog, Princess and Kevin her cat. Geralda was also predeceased by two twin sons; Ronald and Donald and five brothers; Emery, Norman, Leandre, Richard, and Leonard. Geralda's whole life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, NB. With visitations on Monday November 1st, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 2nd, at 11am from St. Joachim's Church. The Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
