BAUER, RICHARD M.S. - The death of Richard M.S. Bauer, loving husband of Mary E. (Stackhouse) Bauer, of Ridgewood Veteran's Hospital, occurred peacefully on Sunday November 7, 2004 at his residence. Born 1921 in Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Daisy Ruth (Lummus) Bauer. Richard was a veteran of WWII, serving with the RCAF as a Pilot Officer and Wireless Air Gunner, attached with the RAF. He was a man of deep religious faith and was known for his knowledge of the bible. Richard was a wonderful and kind husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him. Besides his loving wife Mary, he is survived by his children Stephen (Valerie) of Saint John, Peter (Margaret) of Rothesay and Jane Abrams (Greg) of Grand Bay-Westfield; four grandchildren Leah, Michael, Emily and Rachael; brother Guy Bauer (Sue) of Guelph, Ontario; sister Faith Clarke of Mississauga, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. By request there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday November 9, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
