FERGUSON, LORNE EMERY - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Emery Ferguson after a courageous battle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday November 14, 2004. Lorne Emery Ferguson is the husband of Ruth (Williams) Ferguson of Saint John West. Born in Saint John he is the son of Audrey (Stockford) Ferguson of Saint John and the late George M. Ferguson. He retired as General Manager of the Fundy Line Motels. He was a member of the United Commercial Travellers. Surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are four daughters; Brenda (Dale) Forbes and Heather Caissie both of Saint John, Dr. Kelly Ferguson (Mike Cleary) of Ontario and Jennifer Ferguson of Halifax, one son Geoffrey (Barb) Ferguson of Saint John, three grand daughters; Sara, Alessa and Katie, five grandsons; Christopher, Justin, Mikey, Tyler and Mitchell, two brothers; Clarence Ferguson and Sterling (Mary) Ferguson and one sister; Willa (Gordon) Ewart, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Cole Ferguson. Visitation at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm Thursday November 18, 2004 from the Fallsview Chapel. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society or to a charity of the donors choice.
