Georgina Bishop AMHERST - The death of Georgina Bishop, age 87, of Amherst, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, January 21, 2007. Born in West Leicester, NS, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Marry Belle (Dickson) Doncaster. A sales clerk she worked at Margolian's Clothing Store, Amherst, until she was 80, having served in the women's department for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Amherst and formerly active in the WMS (life time member). Georgina loved her family dearly and she will be sadly missed by 2 sons, Donald (Pat) and Wayne (Evelyn), both of Amherst and 2 daughters, Gwen (Geroge) Mason and Darlene, both of Amherst; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Paula Bishop, Amherst. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 1990, a son Ralph (Bruddie) in 2004 and by brothers, Percy and Lawson. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst. By request there is no visitation. A funeral service will be held in the Furlong Jones Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at 2 pm, Rev. Donald Miller officiating. Burial in the Amherst Cemetery.
