MURIEL MARGARET BOYD

BOYD, MURIEL MARGARET - Age 100. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the Carleton-Kirk Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary (Clark) Craft and wife of the late William C. Boyd. Muriel worked almost 20 years at the Provincial Hospital, first in the kitchen, then in the sewing room. As she was a widow for nearly 60 years, hard work came naturally to her. Her determination to provide for her children was never ending. Fond memories of home-cooked meals, handmade clothes, and a sense of being "cared for" are shared by her family. Muriel was a beloved mother and grandmother, soft-hearted, generous and kind to her many generations. Muriel is survived by her only son George (Sherin) Boyd; daughters Marjorie Ross, Meta Van Malsen-Boyd and "Bette" (John Parks), all of Saint John, NB; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and niece Mary Thomas. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her brother Clarence Craft and sisters Sadie Craft and Annie Atkinson. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Donations in Muriel's memory, to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.castlefh.com
