LINDA MAUDE ADAMS
ADAMS, LINDA MAUDE - Linda Maude Adams of Campbellton, NB passed away in Campbellton, NB on December 1, 2004 at the age of 93. Born in Shigawake, QC on June 17, 1911, she also resided in Matapedia, QC and Silver Waters, Restigouche River. Daughter of the late Herbert Journeaux (1940) and Maude Travers (1955). Linda was a teacher for 40 years. She was a member of numerous church based groups, notably "Friendly Room" Matapedia, QC as well as youth group. She was also a member of Business Professional Women's Canada and life member of "Women's Institute". Linda served in the war with WRENS 1941 and 1942 as "Regulating Officer" and administration. Survived by daughter Susan (Mike) Kulesza, Bathurst, NB, sons Ross (Lise) Adams, Pointe Claire, QC, Peter (Alison) Adams, Fredericton, NB, sister Hazel McCallion, Mayor of Mississauga, ON. Also survived by only granddaughter Victoria Kulesza, only grandson Jamie Adams, many nieces and one nephew. Predeceased by sister Gwen Capener, Burlington, ON, brothers Lorne (1972) and Lockhart (1964), her first husband Wheeler Adams (1967), second husband William Salmon (1986) and her son Wheeler in 1954 at the age of nine. Funeral will be held at St. Andrew's United Church on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 4:00 pm, officiated by Wendell Gregan. Interment in the Matapedia Cemetery in the spring of 2005. Pallbearers are Noel Journeaux, Nelson Thibault, Lynden Bechervaise, S.M. "Bud" Adams, Jack MacNaughton and Jackie Lyons. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Restigouche Health Authority Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
