SANDRA RUTH (McKIEL) DAYE
DAYE, SANDRA RUTH (McKIEL) - On Wednesday, December 1st, 2004; Sandra Daye, wife of Donald F. Daye of 40 years. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late H. Roy and Doris Cain McKiel. Sandra was the first female elder of Wesley United Church and was extremely active in several inner church groups as secretary of the Trustees, Secretary Treasurer of the cemetery fund, Chairman of the Board of Stewards, U.C.W. Member and an active member of the church choir. Sandra also taught Sunday school for many years. She was also very active as a member of TOPS. Sandra served as an integral part in her husbands business, Daye Well Drilling Ltd. Surviving in addition to her husband Donald are her sons Mark (Cindy) of GrandBay, David (Kim) of Browns Flat, grandchildren Courtney, Bradley and Emily, sister Judy (Brian), brothers Doug (Carol), Larry, Brian (Barbara), Wally (Joan), Chris (Linda). Sandra was predeceased by a sister Barb. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506 - 634 - 1701) from where the visitation will be held on Friday from 2 - 9 pm. Visitors are asked to please use the chapel entrance. Visiting will also be at Wesley United Church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 pm only. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4th, 2004 at Wesley United Church, Browns Flat, NB at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
