Glen S. Ripley Amherst - The death of Glen S. Ripley of Upper Nappan, NS occurred Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Born in Fenwick, N.S., he was the son of the late Archie and Carrie (Smith) Ripley. Glen is survived by his wife Ella (Hastie); two sons, Paul (Debra) and Timothy (Donna) both of Upper Nappan; four grand-children, Tammy Ripley, Calgary, Paula Ripley, Dartmouth, Nicole Ripley, Sackville, N.B., and Nicholas, Upper Nappan; five sisters, Isabel (Sheldon) Moore, Leicester, Marion (William) Hopkins, Port Perry, ON, Rachel (Everett) MacEacheron, Burlington, ON, Evalena Graves, Sussex, N.B., and Fern (Arnold) Pitman, Tyndal Rd, N.S. and one brother, Bob (Aggie) Ripley of Amherst. Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by a daughter, Carrie-Anne; sister Doris; and a brother, Vaughn. The remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, (667-8777), Amherst. As per Glen's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 2:00 pm from the Furlong~Jones Chapel, 70 Church Street with interment to follow in the Fenwick Cemetery.
