BASS, WILLIAM STANLEY (BILL) - 87, of North Head, Grand Manan passed away unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, December 6th, at the Grand Manan Hospital. Born at North Head, he was the son of the late Ernest and Jenny (Beal) Bass. Mr. Bass was a retired fisherman. He is survived by his wife Ruth Elsie (Cann) Bass at home; three daughters, Ann Hamm (Mark), Kemptville, Mary Baker (Thomas), Charlottetown, P.E.I., Joy Bass, Saint John, N.B.; one daughter-in-law Judith Bass, North Head; two sons Stephen (Heather) and Nathan (Karen), both of North Head; three sisters Alma Naves, Alice Cook, North Head, Hazel Titus of Manitoba; two brothers Lester (Helen), Sheldon (Mary), both of North Head; eleven grandchildren. Mr. Bass was predeceased by one son David, 1998; two sisters Margaret and Frances; three brothers Harold, Charles, and George; and one grandchild, Eli Bass 1993.
