LORNE E. PRIDHAM

PRIDHAM, LORNE E. - Of Princess Street, Saint John, NB died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 22, 2004. He was born in Alberton, PEI and was the son of the late Perley and Lillian (Ramsey) Pridham and husband of Eleanor Pridham. Lorne was a Professional Photographer and has won numerous Provincial and National awards. He was the first maritime photographer to receive the Craftsman and Master of Photographic Arts Award of Canada, he also received the Governor General's Award for his contribution to the St. John Ambulance. One of his photographs was presented to Prince Charles during his last visit to Saint John. His scenics and portraits are still on display world wide. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing and was Past President of Ball's Lake Fishing Club Ltd and was also a past member of Saint John Kiwanis Club. Lorne is survived by one daughter Sandra MacFadyen (Stephen) of Charlottetown, three sons, Garey Pridham (Sue) of Windsor, NS, Brent Pridham (Cathy) of St. Martins and Mark Pridham (Carol) of Saint John, one sister Beatrice Hodgson of Saint John, ten grandchildren and one great grandson. He enjoyed his retirement years by continuing his love of photography, gardening and enjoying the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 24, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Cavanagh's Chapel followed by interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
