Helen Heal SACKVILLE - The death of Helen (Ross) Heal, age 91, occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Born in Linden, NS, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Angus) Mills and her step-mother, the late Syrienia (Sarson) Helen was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church and the Sackville Senior Citizens Club. She loved to knit, donating her mittens to Christmas Cheer and she loved to garden. Helen will be sadly missed by her 2 sons, Alden and Edwin Ross, both of Sackville; 3 daughters, Irene Ibbitson, Westcock, Jean Darragh, Oxford, NS and Susan Ross-Maillet and son-in-law Kevin Maillet, Sussex; grandchildren, Danny and Natalie Ibbitson, Lani and Craig Calhoun, Jason Lorette and Melissa Lutes, Maegan and Scott Cooper; a great grandchild, Leah Calhoun; nieces, Donna Saunders-Meister, Barbara Saunders, Brenda Saunders and Pat Lekas, nephews, Peter Crossman and Howe Saunders. She was predeceased by two husbands, Gordon Ross and William Heal, and by sisters, Hazel Saunders, Dorothy Crossman and Blanche Potter. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville from where visitation will be held Thursday from 3 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Main Street Baptist Church on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11 am. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
