Agnes Elsie St. Peters MACCAN - Agnes Elsie St. Peters, age 70, of Maccan, N.S., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Chignecto, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Lillian (Collins) Dwyer. She was an avid sports fan, especially Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Yankees. Agnes enjoyed scratch tickets, playing cards, spending time in her garden, and drives to the Valley. She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all. Agnes is survived by her loving husband, William (Bill); daughter, Brenda Kemsley of Maccan, N.S.; two sons, Alfred (Connie) and James (Loretta) both of Springhill, N.S.; three brothers, Ron (Lillian), Reg (Iona) and Jim (Margaret) all of Maccan, N.S.; six grandchildren, Dusty, Michael, Adam, Mitchell, Spencer and Erin; one great-grandchild, Curtis; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Margaret Marks and Inez Doucette; sister in infancy Audrey; three brothers, Logan, Abe and Ed. Her remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Captain Jamie Hillier officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at the Maccan Legion Branch # 134. Interment will take place in the spring in the Maccan Cemetery.
