Agnes Mable Willis AMHERST - Agnes Mable Willis, 97, Amherst and formerly of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Robins) Greene. Agnes was an active woman all of her life, as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the I.O.D.E. and past president of the All Souls Anglican Church Women, Oxford. She is survived by daughter, Carol (Harold) Smith, Toronto; granddaughter, Leslie (Ian) Peach, Ottawa; great-granddaughter, Fiona. She was predeceased by her husband, William; brothers, Harry, John, Arthur, Edgar and Norman; sisters, Ivy and Jean Greene, Phyllis Gaillard and Dorothy Sherry. Cremation has taken place under the direction of MacDiarmid's Funeral Home (447-2930). Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 23 at All Souls Anglican Church, Oxford, with the Rev. Marilyn Lamb officiating. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Gables Lodge for their compassionate care of Agnes.
