THOMAS, JOHN G. - The death of John G. Thomas of 301 Heatherway, husband of Emma M. (Fournier) Thomas, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 14, 2005. Mr. Thomas was born in Saint John, a son of the late Phillip and Mary (Delorey) Thomas. He had been employed as a bus driver with S.M.T., City Transit, and School District 8. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, William and George Thomas. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gordon T. (Kathleen) and Darren J., both of Saint John; four sisters, Shirley Wright (Frank) of Saint John, Phyllis Peterson (Peter) of Saint John, Mary Marr (Cecil) of French Village, and Viola Durley (Donald) of Saint John; one grandson, Sheldon Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday morning at twelve o'clock.
