Angus Joseph LeBlanc AMHERST - Angus Joseph LeBlanc age 81 of Amherst passed away on Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan N.S., with his loving family by his side. Born in Barachois N.B., he was a son of the late Alphie and Zoe (Lirette) LeBlanc. Angus retired from trucking after 26 years of service. He was a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 2916 since 1977 and a member of Sargent Mess Darts League. Angus enjoyed bowling with the Knights of Columbus League and Mens Town League, playing bingo, crib and darts. Angus also worked for the Knights of Columbus Bingo for number of years. He is survived by his loving wife the former Melvina Lorette; daughter, Brenda (Bruce) Burke of Amherst; son, Vernon LeBlanc of Moncton, N.B; sister, Annie (Edmond) Landry of Cape Pele, N.B; brothers, Clarence LeBlanc, Ovila (Eva) LeBlanc both of Cape Pele, N.B., and Albert (Florence) LeBlanc of Moncton, N.B; grandchildren, Jason and Adam Burke; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Alice Doiron and Mary Ouellette. His remains were resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Sunday, September 2, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. The funeral Mass was celebrated at the St. Charles site of Holy Family Parish on Monday, September 3, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
