Arthur Hebert HEBERT - Arthur Hebert passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 30, 2007. Art in his 83rd year, beloved husband of Eleanor (Dupuis), father of Sheila, Abbey (Barbara), Larry (Annette), Holy Anne, Eleanor May (Roy) McComb, cherished grandfather of Anita, Shawn, Mark, Jennifer, Leslie, James and Elise. He will be fondly remembered by his ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Art is survived by his sister Susan (Douglas) Hubley and brother Gordon (Adrienne) Hebert. Born in Joggins, N.S., Arthur served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW II, worked as an auto body mechanic in Amherst and area prior to locating in Hamilton, Ont., where he retired in 1986. He was a devoted husband and father and a long time member of St. Joseph's Parish. Remains rest at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St. East, with visitation on Thursday, May 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 4, 2007 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 260 Herkimer St., Hamilton, Ont., at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Rygiel Support for Community Living would be appreciated.
