JAMES A. HEIGHTON

HEIGHTON, JAMES A. - The death of James A. Heighton of Hampton, husband of Connie (Barr) Heighton occurred February 17, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born at River John, NS, son of the late Arthur and Mary Heighton. Jim was an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hampton. He was a Past Master of St. Martins Lodge #30, F. & A.M. Jim retired from Air Canada following thirty five years of service. Surviving besides his wife Connie are daughters Kathy (Walter) Bockus of St. Stephen, Mary Beth Heighton of Saint John, Krisan (Terry) Palmer of Saint John and Marilyn (James) Fitzpatrick of Rothesay; two brothers Dan (Marion) Heighton of Mass., Everett Heighton of River John, NS; one sister Lillian Heighton of River John, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Chris (Reg) Walker and one brother John. Visitation Sunday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Monday, 2:00 pm, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hampton, with Rev. Wally Collett officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery in the spring. Memorials to St. Paul's Anglican Church or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. A Masonic tribute will be held Sunday, 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
