WISWELL, WILLIAM ARTHUR - 81, Hammond's Plains, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home on Sunday, March 6, 2005. Born February 15, 1924, he was a son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Manning) Wiswell. He was retired from Pittsburg Paint and Glass, having served as a sales representative and district manager. He was a veteran of the second World War, having served with the RCAF in France and Germany. He was a member of Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia, having served on the executive, and was also a past president of the Bedford Lawn Bowlers Association, and also served on the executive of Kings-Edgehill. He was the devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, Kathryn Marie (Small) Wiswell; loving father to daughters, Susan (David) Siscoe, Ottawa, Ont.; Kathy (Bob) Cox, Yarmouth; Martha (Wayne) Gibbs, Saint John, NB; Betty Jane Wiswell (Lynda), Barrie, Ont.; grandchildren, Carolyn, Scott, Matthew, Stasia, Robbie and Billy; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Brody; sisters, Kathryn Bowen, Betty Wiswell, both of Halifax. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, from Saint Peter's Anglican Church, Birch Cove, Rev. Jane Clattenburg officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. A reception will follow at the Bedford Lawn Bowling Club. It has been requested that there be family flowers only.
