GALBRAITH, EUGENE A. - The death of Eugene Arthur Galbraith, husband of Joan Marie (Wilson) Galbraith wife of 52 years, occurred on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 8, 1929 in Saint John, NB he was a son of the late Robert and Blanche (Maguire) Galbraith. Eugene was employed with Galbraith Construction and the City of Saint John as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of Lorneville United Church, Lorneville over 55 Club, Mount Purple Lodge # 29, Royal Black Percepitory # 62. Survived by his wife; three sons, Daryl (Marilyn) of Saint John, Grant (Anne) of Dartmouth and Robert (Susan) of Saint John; three daughters, Andrea (Donald) Webb, Georgia (Raymond) Grant and Leslie (Daniel) Ferris, all of Saint John; one brother, R. Lloyd of Saint John; one sister, Marjorie Pierce of ON; fourteen grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; sister-in-law Dorothy of U.S.A.; brother-in-law Ralph (Shirley) Wilson; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Rev. Dr. Ralph. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on March 30, 2005 from Lorneville United Church Hall at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Lorneville Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Lorneville United Church or Thomas Woods Memorial Playground.
