Colleen Dwyer AMHERST Following a long and courageous battle with cancer, the death of Colleen Dwyer, age 39, wife of Larry Dwyer, of Amherst, occurred at the Dr. George DuMont Hospital, Moncton, on Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of Robert and Joan (Pitts) O'Brien. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and a girl guide leader. She was sales and service manager for AOL Canada. Colleen will be sadly missed by her husband, Larry, and her children, Larry Jr, Chelsey and Josh all at home in Amherst; her parents, Bob and Joan O'Brien, Amherst; a half brother brother, Bobby, along with many great friends too numerous to mention. Colleen lived life to the fullest and wanted to tell her family and friends to not take anything for granted. Colleen's remain have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst, (902-667-8777). Colleen's family will receive their friends at the Furlong Jones Chapel, 66 Church Street, Amherst on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Holy Family Parish Church, Amherst on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10 am, Father Vernon Driscoll offiating. Burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
