JESSIE H. WOODLAND
WOODLAND, JESSIE H. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 2, 2005, Jessie H. Woodland, wife of the late Walter L. Woodland passed away. Born in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elsie (Milton) Taylor. She lived in Saint John since 1938 and was a member of St. Jude's Anglican Church. Jessie enjoyed travelling across Canada and the U.S., especially the bus trips she and Walter took after his retirement. She was an avid Bingo player and always up for a game of "Scrabble". She will be fondly remembered by her grandsons, especially for the day trips that were part of their visits to her house. She is survived by her daughter Sheryl (David) Chapman, grandsons Derek and Michael Antigonish, NS., brother Archie Taylor, Midland, NB., sister Dorothy Taggart, Calgary, AB., as well as, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers Jimmy, Sandy, Archie, George and Peter and sisters Ina, Peggy, Jean, and Betty. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 8, 2005 in Fallsview Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Old Cemetery followed by a reception in the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Family flowers only please.
