AMHERST – The death of Dorothy Arseneault, 62, widow of Sheldon Arseneault, occurred at the Dr. George DuMont Hospital in Moncton on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hicks and the late Edith (Grant) Hayes. Dorothy enjoyed bingo and cards, visiting with friends and talking on the phone. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shelley; her stepfather, John Hayes; brothers Bruce, Dan, Michael, Gerald and Dougie; sisters Sandy (Ray) and Marguerite; nieces and nephews, as well as her furry friend, Wizzer. She was predeceased by her husband Sheldon in 2004; a brother Gary; a sister Ellen Margaret and special aunt Dorothy Hicks. Dorothy's remains have been cremated under the direction of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst. A memorial mass will be celebrated at the Holy Family Parish Church on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10 a.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home reception room.
