Elizabeth Jean Isabell Weatherby PUGWASH - Elizabeth Jean Isabell Weatherby, 80, East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash and formerly of Tatamagouche, passed away April 17, 2008, in the Lodge. Born in Malagash, she was a daughter of the late George Leslie and Christine (Nelson) Mason. Elizabeth was a homemaker and mother who devoted her life to caring for her family. Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Freda), Tatamagouche; Robert (Marj), Calgary; David (Bernice), Red Cliff, Alta.; Stephen (Millie), Truro; Michael (Susan), Tatamagouche; daughters, Sandra Weatherby, Malagash; Joanne Lawless (John), Wallace Bay; Belinda Ripley (Paul), Truro; Mary Caudle (Glen), Truro; Margaret Chaisson (Troy), Truro; Laura Fisher, Truro; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; half-sisters, Shirley MacInnis, Ontario; Marilyn Langille, Wallace; Ruth Reid, Truro; Aunt, Jessie Clark, Truro. She was predeceased by her husband, William I. Weatherby; sister, Bonnie MacCormick; step-father, Douglas Mason; half-brother, Howard Mason; half-sister, Joan Deudroff, son-in-law, Malcolm Fisher. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by family’s request. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Sandra Carruthers officiating. Interment will be in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche. Memorial donations can be made to North Shore Health Services Foundation or IWK Grace Children’s Hospital.
