Eric Lorne Wolfe 1919-2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eric Lorne Wolfe, on January 22nd, 2007, at The Moncton City Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in River Hebert, N.S. on January 2nd, 1919, the son of the late Bertie (Day) and Walter Wolfe. Eric served in the army throughout the Second World War. Upon discharge from the Army, he worked at Mitchell's General Store in River Hebert. Eric and his family relocated to Moncton, N.B. in 1954. He was retired from T. Eaton Co. Ltd. and the Moncton School Board. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion In River Hebert. Eric loved playing cards and a great hockey game cheering for the Leafs. He loved seeing the great grandchildren come to visit. We all enjoyed his remarkable sense of humor. He will be truly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth (Walter), daughter Lorna (James) Bishop of Moncton,) two sons Gregory (Wendy) of Moncton and Dale (Crystal) Riverview, a sister Jean McCrae (Dave) of Calgary, Alberta. Eric is also survived by seven grandchildren Darcie (Dana) Dealy, James (Janel) Bishop, Ryan Tyler & Vanessa Wolfe all of Moncton and Tanner and Connor Wolfe of Riverview, and four great grandchildren Eric & Isabelle Bishop and Leslie Cole Dealy, as well as 1 niece and 2 nephews. Eric was predeceased by brothers Earl and Alison and sister Marion. In keeping with Eric's wishes there will be no visitation prior to the memorial service to be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home at 1 o'clock, on Thursday January 25th, 2007. A reception will be held in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home following the service. Interment in River Hebert in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes foundation, The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
