RUTH MAY (WORDEN) BUCKLEY

BUCKLEY, RUTH MAY (WORDEN) - In hospital on July 23, 2005 after a lengthy period of illness. Born February 22, 1923 in Saint John, daughter of the late James Latimer Worden and Norah (Allen) Worden of the Kingston Peninsula where her father was born and lived his entire life. She is predeceased by her husband Francis (Frank) James Buckley, a daughter Joan Francine Buckley and her only brother Percy James Worden. She lived most of her adult life on the Baxter Road in Golden Grove of Saint John having recently moved to Quispamsis. She is survived and cherished by one daughter Janet Buckley of Quispamsis, three sons, Thomas (Belen) Buckley of Penobsquis, Richard (Ruth) Buckley of Quispamsis, and Michael (Barbara) Buckley of Kingston, NB, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two very special cousins Mary (Marion) Parlee of Saint John and Helen Barr of Kingston, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was widowed in 1962 at the age of thirty nine with four school age children and consequently entered the work force where for many years she distinguished herself as a child care councilor principally at the former William F. Roberts Hospital School. She leaves many friends and admirers amongst her colleagues and residents from the hospital school. Reposed at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, visiting hours 7-9pm Monday and 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday July 25 and 26. The funeral will be held at the Kings Valley Wesleyan Church in Quispamsis on Wednesday at 11:00am with interment at the Kingston Baptist Cemetery with her family.
